Sigmax & MobilePolice
Sigmax developed MobilePolice for the law enforcement tasks of the police. MobilePolice has been developed in close cooperation with various police departments in the Netherlands. Sigmax has had numerous talks with officers and has been out on the street various times to analyze the day-to-day practice, so that MobilePolice meets the needs of the officers on the beat.
Bridge worked on:• Web based intranet BackOffice applications with rich desktop-like interface for the police and city authorities.• Applications for the municipal parking permiting services which covers all service activities.• Applications for verification and enforcing of construction, fire safety and building maintencance regulations.• Web services to allow fast and robust data exchange between applications and data storages• PDA based solutions to work with driver license smart cards

Intro:Application provides easy, fast, unified and convenient way to manage, search and publish the municipality regulations on intranet and/or Internet according to the Internet publication model (IPM) of Overheid.nl. (HTML micro sites or PDF formats) or/and in CVDR format via web services.

Tech which has been used:Classical Three-tier architecture based application, which is been developed on Java 1.5.Client side(presentation tier) is represented by swing based client which works via Spring remoting (HTTP based) with server running on Jetty/Tomact web server, connection to DB is organized via hibernate, reporting and micro-site generation is done via OpenOffice integration.Client application could be easily deployed via web start approach.There is a short list of open source projects which been used: Spring, Hibernate, velocity, JasperReports, Appache commons, Log4j, Swingx, Abeille forms, echcache, Quartz, JODConverter etc..
